CpHills - A Sketch

Post by Cooper »

Hey guys,

it's a pleasure to post in your forums. I didn't find the artistic area so I just put this thread here ^^

Sevn'n'Seven made a little piece of art by using a greenscreen in my cphills map.

This was the first try for finding out, if this works and if it's fun to watch.
Have a look and give us a feedback!

We plan to make much more interesting videos with this, taking unfinished maps and showing, in what way they could have been developed. Or laying out something in Sauerbraten and let various ideas come to life by sketching them, letting you see the process in timelapse.

I would really appreciate the comments of you qualified people and to hear about your ideas.

Greets,
Cooper

surely high art. i don't know enough about mapping or the tools that were used. All I can say is that it looked beautiful and surreal.

Ah very interesting! Change the skybox to green to create that greenscreen effect then you can sketch what you want the final outcome to be! Very very neat! Also good for teamprojects.

Thanks for your feedback! Indeed, there are a lot of options available when you use that greenscreen thing. Not only can you change the skybox to green, also taking white texture and vcolor it 0 1 0 will get that effect. With that you can easily take out a piece of a map and draw inside whatever you like!
